Niagara guide coverage and research limits
This release covers only the topics for which a current municipal source was checked. A municipality appearing below is not a statement that every by-law or program has been reviewed.
CURRENT TOPIC COVERAGE
Four municipalities
- Niagara Falls: WRAP flood assistance; fence summary; pool-permit and inspection by-law.
- St. Catharines: Emergency FLAP; current consolidated fence and pool-enclosure by-law.
- Welland: SWAP; City summary naming separate fence and pool-enclosure by-laws, with numeric requirements left to the current official text.
- Niagara-on-the-Lake: Town fence and pool-permit summaries; pool amendments need full reconciliation.
NOT COVERED IN THIS RELEASE
Eight municipalities
Fort Erie, Grimsby, Lincoln, Pelham, Port Colborne, Thorold, Wainfleet and West Lincoln are not covered by this release. Some may publish relevant material; we have not completed current source and amendment checks for the same scope, so no rules are stated here.
Niagara Region lists the 12 local municipalities. See its Niagara Region — municipal by-lawschecked 18 Oct 2026.
SOURCE METHOD
Primary municipal pages first
Every factual summary links to a City or Town page or municipal by-law. Sources were checked on 18 October 2026. A page visit is not proof that there have been no later changes; confirm current rules and funding with the municipality before relying on them.
We do not report applicant outcomes, funding received, flooding avoided or other results. The amounts shown are published program limits only.
