Welland SWAP flood assistance
Welland’s Sewage Water Alleviation Program (SWAP) offers assistance for eligible work intended to reduce basement flooding from sewer and storm-water sources.
PUBLISHED CAPS
Up to $7,500 total
- Up to $1,500 for a backwater valve.
- Up to $6,000 for eligible storm-source disconnection or sump work.
- The total program assistance is capped at $7,500 per home.
The City describes an application process with two contractor quotes, inspection and program terms. The City must confirm eligibility and the current available funding.
