St. Catharines backwater-valve funding

Emergency FLAP describes support for eligible flood-protection work, including installation. The City’s public page does not give a separate backwater-valve cap.

PUBLISHED LIMIT

Up to 90% of eligible costs, capped at $5,000

That is the overall program limit stated by the City, not a valve-only promise. Eligibility is reviewed and the City lists property conditions, licensed-plumber requirements and a Plumbing-Only permit.

Ask the City whether the specific valve and installation qualify, and get approval before work starts.
